Elevated Toxic Element Emissions from Popular Disposable E-Cigarettes: Sources, Life Cycle, and Health Risks

The ACS Central Science journal recently published a research article that demonstrates that toxic elements (e.g., lead, antimony, nickel) in smoke of disposable e-cigarettes exceed acceptable noncancer and cancer risk thresholds due to leaching from coils and internal metallic components.​​

Adolescent Use of Flavored Non-Tobacco Oral Nicotine Products

​​​A recent study published by the University of Southern California (USC) in the American Academy of Pediatrics Publications finds that non-tobacco oral nicotine products were the second most prevalent nicotine product used by adolescents in Southern California. They were disproportionately used by certain racial or ethnic, sexual, or gender minority groups, and those with a history of nicotine use.  ​
