Collaborations can strengthen tobacco prevention efforts in your schools. There may be an opportunity for partnerships with organizations providing tobacco control services in your community.

Collaborating with Your LLA

The California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) provides funding to support community-level tobacco prevention efforts; these services are administered by Local Lead Agencies (LLAs) . LLAs typically manage tobacco control programs and some lead coalitions that mobilize the community to tackle tobacco control efforts.

Consider how you can partner with your LLA and local tobacco coalition to drive awareness, engagement, and advocacy efforts among students, families, and the community.

To learn more about the California Tobacco Control Program grant-funded LLAs, visit the California Department of Public Health website and click on "Local Health Department Projects." To find out if your LLA supports a tobacco control coalition, follow the link using the button below.
